About Titanopsis Calcarea (4 inch)
Titanopsis calcarea is native to South Africa. It typically exhibits a squat and compact growth habit, with leaves that are often wavy or uneven along the edges and covered with small indentations or protrusions on the surface. The color of the leaves ranges from green to gray -green. It can produce daisy-like yellow flowers. Resilient on the outside yet tender on the inside, it bears a resemblance to Shrek.
How to care for Titanopsis Calcarea (4 inch)
Sun/Temperature: During the high-temperature period in summer, Titanopsis calcarea enters dormancy and requires shade and ventilation. However, in other seasons, it can be exposed to full or partial sunlight. Insufficient light may cause the backside of its leaves to turn white. Titanopsis calcarea is not cold-tolerant and should ideally be kept at temperatures above 50℉ during winter. If the weather becomes extremely cold, it can be moved indoors for protection.
Soil/Watering/Pot: Choose a loose and breathable soil such as peat or coir, with a high proportion of granular soil, Titanopsis Calcarea tends to have a very strong root system, so a deeper pot is preferred. Watering should be done on a dry and well-watered basis. In winter, when the light is low, you need to control the frequency of watering, otherwise Titanopsis Calcarea tends to grow in vain. We recommend adding something at the top of potting soil, either green or white to match its color.
Propagation: Fertilizer can be applied every three or four weeks from spring to early summer.
